Nutrix and Mutrix

The Nutrix Publishing Company, founded in 1952 by Irving and Paula Klaw, became America’s leading fetish publisher until the early 1960s. Prominent early contributors were artists Eric Stanton and Gene Bilbrew, with Bettie Page rising to fame through photographic sets. In 1964, the company faced challenges and was sold to Ed Mishkin, who renamed it Mutrix. Mishkin continued publishing similar works, with much of the artwork still coming from Gene Bilbrew.
